Sol Playa is a small, family-run hotel on Avenida 5, in a quieter area north of central Playa del Carmen. The beach (Playa 88 / Punta Esmeralda) is about 300 meters away—straight down the access road. Downtown and the lively part of Fifth Avenue are around a 15–20 minute walk, or a short taxi ride.
Choose between Standard Rooms and Studios. Standard Rooms are ideal for families or friends and can accommodate up to four guests with two king-size beds. Studios are perfect for couples and include a small kitchenette for basic cooking.
Breakfast is included for registered guests: each guest may choose one breakfast dish from our menu, plus coffee and juice. Our Restaurant “La 88” is open daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, and outside guests are welcome as well.
Sol Playa S.A. de C.V. is a family run and own business, which started operating in 2003. Little details and personal contact with our clients is very important for us.
The rooms are very spacious and full of light. There is high speed internet, a flat screen television and Netflix.
Sol Playa has a selection of tropical plants and a small orchid collection, depending on the season you can observe wonderful flowers and fruits.
